3,000 people enjoyed the inclusive storytelling performed by the Envera Occupational Center.

Madrid | January 31, 2019

The company Cuento contigo, made up of beneficiaries and professionals from the Envera Occupational Center, ends its season after 25 performances that have been enjoyed by nearly 3,000 people, mostly students from schools in Madrid.

Through the musical storytelling La cebra Camila, the twenty performers and three musicians of Envera have brought values such as inclusion, self-improvement and teamwork to the audience.

I count on you is an inclusive project born from the Envera Occupational Center, a social organization that for 42 years has been working for the social and labor integration of people with intellectual disabilities, to whom it provides assistance from birth to their last day. Through scenic art, a team formed by beneficiaries and educators teach that there is no one worse or better, only different; that we are all important and that we all count.

This storytelling has put the finishing touch to another successful season at the Centro de Artes Escénicas de Soto del Real and with two performances open to the public at the Casa de la Juventud de Colmenar Viejo where they hung the full house sign.

From the artistic and pedagogical direction of the Cuento contigo project, they assure that "we would never have imagined having come this far. We are infinitely grateful to all the people who have trusted us".

After the closing of the season, the team of the Envera Occupational Center is now working on the preparation and rehearsals of the new play for which we already have good expectations: "We are giving it shape, putting all our energy and enthusiasm into the new project and we will see each other again on stage in April".
