Envera, in its social mission for people with intellectual disabilities to occupy their place in the world with dignity, offers the necessary support so that people with disabilities can develop an independent life in a supervised apartment as a quality alternative that promotes their participation in the community. participation in the community in an active way and their personal autonomy.
To this end, in 2021 Envera is launching My way in collaboration with the Housing Council of the Community of Madrid, an independent living project that offers the necessary resources to meet the housing needs of people with intellectual disabilities, while offering them a more autonomous and responsible life, improving their quality of life within the community.
This independent living project is based on the most advanced social approaches:

- Facilitate the interaction of the person with his/her environment and social context.
- Concept and dimension of quality of life.
- Positive behavioral support model.
Objectives
- To develop the autonomy of people with intellectual disabilities.
- To improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
- Facilitate the interaction of the person with his/her environment and social context.
- To promote the social, daily and personal skills of people with intellectual disabilities.
- To promote the personal development and self-realization of people with intellectual disabilities.
- To offer a solution for the future of people with intellectual disabilities in relation to housing.
Envera has a multidisciplinary team made up of psychologists, social workers and educators who assess, accompany and guide the residents and their families on a permanent basis.
To whom it is addressed
People with mild or borderline intellectual disabilities, without behavioral alterations, and over 18 years of age, who require some type of support to function independently.
In this apartment reside people who require occasional support for basic and instrumental activities of daily living (training in public transportation, money management, shopping, cooking...).
The supervised apartment
It is a house with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and living room. It is located in a private urbanization with landscaped common areas and accessible facilities, belonging to the town of Alcobendas, Madrid.
It has easy access to public transportation and is located in an area with large green areas and all services.
