The Minister of Transport and Infrastructures of the Community of Madrid, David Pérez, received the Envera students who this week begin their internships as a result of the agreement signed between the two entities to promote equal opportunities and remove obstacles to the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in the labor market.
The objective of these training internships for Envera students, people over 18 years of age with special educational needs, is to receive training in skills and abilities that complement their education and promote positive attitudes for social participation and professional development, with the aim of their subsequent socio-labor insertion.
The internship will have a maximum duration of three months, with a working week not exceeding 20 hours. At the end of the training period, a certificate will be issued to certify the knowledge acquired. In addition, these internships are considered to be of great interest as they bring the day-to-day work of the public administration closer to the students, which encourages them to prepare for competitive examinations, for which Envera also trains them.
During the meeting, David Pérez welcomed the students and held a first working meeting to learn about their interests and expectations during the internship that began this week.
For their part, the students have thanked the counselor "for the opportunity" and have highlighted the "warm welcome with open arms" they have received from the workers of the public entity.
With this initiative, Envera states "that the Community of Madrid is also doing its homework very well as an exemplary administration, placing itself at the forefront of a diverse and global society" and reminds us that "there is no better social policy than one that promotes employment".
