The President of the Congress of Deputies, Ana Pastor, and the deputy Alfonso Candón have received this Monday a representation of Envera at the headquarters of the Lower House on the occasion of the 40th anniversary that this year celebrates the entity, under the Honorary Presidency of Her Majesty Queen Letizia.
Envera was represented by its President, José Antonio Quintero, the General Director, Pedro Sobrino, Pedro Núñez Morgades, representing the Trustees of the Tutelar Foundation, and the training students, who presented the President of the Congress with a gift made by the Envera Occupational Center with the 40th anniversary slogan: We can all be the best at something. A phrase that, as stated by the President of Envera, "is not only a message for people with disabilities, but a message for the whole of society, which is represented at the Congress".
Ana Pastor thanked the visit and congratulated Envera on its 40th anniversary. The students were able to share their concerns with the President. Lorena de la Torre, a student of oppositions, asked "how laws are made in the Congress" and if "laws are for everyone", to which the deputy Candón has answered that "laws are for all citizens equally, without distinctions".
They then toured the different rooms of the Palacio de las Cortes, which ended in the Chamber of Sessions, where the students were given an explanation of how the Lower House works. Another of the students, Mario Sanchez, as if he were a deputy, took the floor from one of the seats in the chamber to affirm that "you have to speak on behalf of all Spaniards, not for yourself".
Alfonso Candón, who accompanied the attendees throughout the visit, thanked Envera for its "work and commitment, giving happiness throughout its 40 years".
The President of Envera has assured that "it is an honor to be received in the house where all Spaniards are represented, especially this year when Envera celebrates 40 years working for the social and labor inclusion of people with disabilities to build a better world for all".
