Last Friday, July 8, our Radio Terrícola studio in Colmenar Viejo welcomed some very special guests. In front of the microphones of our super reporters sat the vice president of Aviación Sin Fronteras, Borja Iglesias, its general director, Ana Ferrer, and a group of magnificent volunteers who collaborate with the NGO.
Aviación Sin Fronteras (ASF) is an NGO dedicated, among other projects, to accompanying sick children in need of specialized medical assistance to Spain. It is the tenacity and effort of a group of volunteers that has moved mountains of solidarity to carry out this type of project. And that reminds us a little of those fathers and mothers, workers of the Iberia company, who more than 40 years ago decided to join forces to build what today is Envera, our home and that of more than 4800 people with disabilities who benefit from that admirable initiative.
After a morning in which they visited our Integral Center for Disability in Colmenar Viejo, where they could learn about our employment services and the different jobs that are performed, began a thrilling basketball game in our sports center. Teamwork and fun were the best allies for a game that we enjoyed enormously.
The final touch to a day full of good moments was the interview we did with them on Radio Terrícola. An interview in which we were able to learn more about them and their active projects. We have delved into the collaborations between Envera and Aviación Sin Fronteras and shared everything that for years has united two organizations with a truly aeronautical DNA.
