Madrid | March 18, 2022
Last Wednesday, the general director of Envera, Enrique Grande, presented the diplomas and certificates of completion of the Formándote Cooking course to the ten students of Envera's Labor Insertion Service who have completed their training as kitchen assistants.
This event was the closing ceremony of a specialized training that aims to improve the chances of finding employment for people with disabilities, especially intellectual disabilities, who receive this course free of charge and which includes training internships in hospitality companies.
Specifically, the students of this seventh edition have carried out their internships at Alma Cheli, Mo de Movimiento, Catering El Laurel, Catering Artigot and Comedores Blanco, Envera's partner companies that promote the social and labor inclusion of people with disabilities.
During the course, which took place between November and March, the Envera students learned culinary techniques and processes, occupational risk prevention, social and labor skills and customer service culture from chef Javier González García. They have also participated in other complementary activities such as a visit to the BioCultura 2021 Fair.
By passing the training, Envera's students have demonstrated that with effort, dedication and the necessary support, there are no insurmountable barriers and they now have a new opportunity to continue breaking down prejudices.
Envera is already preparing the eighth edition of the Cooking Course that will begin on March 23rd, financed by the AILA project of the Community of Madrid. More information and registration
