Durán hosts the second edition of the solidarity auction of Iberia's art collection in favor of Envera

Madrid | September 12, 2016

After the success of the first charity auction held last July, Durán Arte y Subastas will host a second edition auctioning 35 works that Iberia has donated to Envera, an association founded by employees of the airline 40 years ago and which currently serves 2,500 people with disabilities.

On this occasion, the "Suite Iberia" collection by José Manuel Ciria stands out, which will be auctioned together with works such as "Los viajeros" by Luis Canogar, "Esfera" by Juan Genovés, "Aproximación" by Lucio Muñoz or "El viajero" by Eduardo Úrculo, which are part of the art collection that Iberia has compiled throughout its almost 90 years of history.

The auction will take place again at the headquarters of Durán Arte y Subastas, located in Madrid's Calle Goya, 19, on September 22 at 6:00 pm.

Iberia has a collaboration agreement with Envera, with which it has contracted courier, handling, document management and laundry services, among others. The relationship between the two entities is part of the airline's Corporate Social Responsibility policy.

Envera is a non-profit organization open to the whole society that works for the social and labor integration of people with disabilities, who are assisted throughout their life cycle. It provides them with early care and neurodevelopment, as well as school support, training, job placement, employment, and leisure, cultural and sports activities. In addition, Envera has occupational centers, day centers and residences for the elderly with intellectual disabilities and premature aging. Finally, its Guardianship Foundation looks after their care and defends their rights and interests when the family can no longer do so or when they find themselves in a situation of helplessness.
