The Palacio de Cibeles, headquarters of the Madrid City Council, has received this Friday a very special visit. Thirty young people with intellectual disabilities Envera, accompanied by its general director, Enrique Grande, have known the Plenary Hall of the Consistory, heart of Madrid politics, thanks to its president, Borja Fanjul, who has received them with the councilman president of the District of Barajas, Juan Peña.
Both officials have explained to the students the functioning of the highest political representation body of the citizenship as well as the dynamics of the plenary sessions and the government of the capital.
For their part, people with disabilities, who have occupied the seats of the government team and municipal groups, have conveyed their concerns and requests.
In addition, the delegate of Social Policies, Family and Equality, José Fernández; the delegate of Tourism, Almudena Maíllo; and the general director of Disability, Consuelo Alfaro, also greeted the delegation of Envera in a morning in which inclusion and diversity have flooded the house of all the people of Madrid.
