Friday intense interviews on Radio Terrícola with Gustavo Rodríguez, responsible for Health and Relief in the south and southeast region of the island of Gran Canaria, and with four of the members of the Latin music group Leyenda Joven. Quite a challenge for our promising reporters from the Envera occupational center on the wonderful island of Gran Canaria.
Aghlana and Salvador were the two star presenters of the yellow group, architects of the event, coordinated by Jessica and Lalla, all of them unbeatable. It was not easy to prepare two interviews so different and interesting in such a short time, but the desire to improve every week and the constant effort have been the effective medicine to overcome such a challenge. The result: an unforgettable morning.
First of all, Gustavo Rodriguez surprised us with his great vocation to help others. He told us about the attraction of the sound of ambulances when he was still a child and how, when he grew up, he became a volunteer and later did his military service in the Red Cross. From lifeguard to head of an organization as exemplary as the Red Cross. This is how he has forged a person who always looks for the positive in life and whom we would like to have around, not only in those emergencies that we all have suffered and will suffer, but also in our daily lives, for his human quality, kindness and sympathy. Thank you very much, Gustavo, for giving us your anecdotes and dedication to others.
The four members of Leyenda Joven have infected us with an incredible good vibe with their dancing and fun music. Bachata, merengue, cumbia and even guguancó have impregnated the Radio Terrícola studio with the Caribbean breeze of this tasty band from Gran Canaria. The group was born 13 years ago and, since then, has not stopped playing in the parties and verbenas of the fortunate islands, and never better said. Their lifestyle has led them to go against the current, they are almost carny, they confess: they work when others rest and have fun. But the life of artists is like that and they do not complain about it at all, they also enjoy those 9 months of the year when they do not stop playing.
The musical selection raised the temperature, loosened the reins of imagination, we flew and danced to intoxicating rhythms, we savored the magic of this universal language that unites us and makes us share happy moments like today. Thank you for your music, friends. We look forward to hearing you live next time.
