Envera and the MAPOMA Sports Association have delivered to the Madrid Food Bank Foundation a total of 13,980 products in two shipments, one of 9,000 bags from the finish line and another of 1000 yogurts, almost 2000 juices and 2000 chocolate sweets, all surplus from the Zurich RNR Running Series Madrid that took place on April 24 through the streets of the Spanish capital.
This donation is in addition to those made by Envera to the Food Bank in recent months, such as the 9,000 onions delivered in Madrid or the agricultural products given in Gran Canaria, as a result of the training activities carried out by Envera's students with disabilities.
In addition, MAPOMA has delivered another 1,200 bags with sports equipment and supplies for the next solidarity walk in favor of Ukraine to be held on May 20 in Colmenar Viejo with the participation of people with intellectual disabilities from Envera and students from Fuentesanta School.
With this type of initiatives and despite being an NGO with finalist character, its mission is to accompany people with intellectual disabilities throughout their life cycle, Envera has become a rara avis that, thanks to networking and its Solidarity Recycling Center managed by professionals with disabilities, has managed to help thousands of vulnerable people both inside and outside Spain. This allows Envera and the companies that support its social work to contribute directly to the achievement of eleven Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out in the UN Agenda 2030.
