De León stated that "here we are training great professionals who obtain qualifications in composting, agriculture and gardening. And hotels need to incorporate workers with this certification to boost their circular communities".
The Regional Ministry assures that "in this way we join the links in the chain to link tourism and employment", with the aim of jointly developing the competitiveness and sustainability of the Canary Islands tourism sector thanks to Envera's experience and the inclusion of people with disabilities in the labor market.
The Councilor had learned first-hand about Envera's work last February when she closed the last Project of Training in Alternation with Employment (PFAE), which in just three months has achieved a 40% insertion rate in the labor market.
In this new visit, De León was able to talk to the students - workers and teachers of the new PFAE Draco Envera, who started their Certificates of Professionalism a few weeks ago.
In addition, together with the counselor and the manager of Ashotel, the vice-counselor of Employment, Isabel León; and the director of the Canary Employment Service, Teresa Ortega; have also known the handling, gardening and cleaning services that Envera's professionals perform through its Special Employment Center of social and private initiative.
In addition to this PFAE, Envera is developing in Tenerife the VESTA Envera Project, which has just been awarded by BBVA, and which arose in response to the natural disaster caused by a fire on the island that devastated nearly 15,000 hectares in some municipalities of Tenerife. The objective is to train eight people with disabilities from the municipality of La Orotava to contribute to the recovery of the burned land.
