On July 5, the closing ceremony of the 14th edition of Los Juegos de las Empresas took place, an initiative sponsored by the Community of Madrid and promoted by the Fundación Deporte y Desafío that seeks, through sport, to strengthen corporate spirit, foster communication, high performance and employee productivity, as well as to promote teamwork and intra and interdepartmental relations in the participating organizations in order to improve the work environment.

Envera, as an organization that is not only responsible for people with intellectual disabilities but for society as a whole, wanted to join The Company Games at the initiative of the Human Resources Department and the Sports Service.

During the weeks of the Games, a total of 25 employees and beneficiaries of various Envera services (Special Employment Center, Early Childhood Care, Occupational Center, Sports, Residence for the Elderly and Commercial Department) have participated in up to eight sports, winning a total of seven medals.

Envera has participated in The Business Games along with other organizations such as Alsa, Coca Cola, Deutsche Bank, Gas Natural Fenosa, Lilly, Santander, Scania, Willis Tower Watson, Entelgy, Accelya, Microsegur, Marriott, Thyssenkrupp and Travelgenio, among others.

As José María Cobo, general manager of the Organizing Committee, points out, this proposal "generates commitment and pride of belonging among employees, giving them the opportunity to fight and feel their colors through sports practice.

web1Corporate Games were born 14 years ago, in the Olympic year 2004. They were conceived from the beginning to transfer the Olympic spirit, its values and work philosophy (overcoming, effort, achievement, excellence and health - Mens Sana in Corpore Sano-), to the business environment. The Olympic Games have been held since their inception in the Community of Madrid and since then more than 37,000 professionals have participated, representing more than 450 companies.

Envera, which has been committed to inclusive sport for more than 26 years as a means to achieve a fairer society, wanted to join this sporting event by combining these Olympic values with those of inclusion and social commitment, in a year in which it celebrates its 40th anniversary under the Honorary Presidency of Her Majesty Queen Letizia and the slogan "We can all be the best at something".
