More than 34,000 runners in the Zurich Rock 'n' Roll Running Series Madridthe most popular marathon, have flooded the streets of the capital this Sunday. Among them, ten athletes with intellectual disabilities who, like the Envera athlete Daniel Rodriguez, have participated for the second consecutive year in the Dis-Friendly Relay Madrid Marathon thanks to Coca-Cola and MAPOMA's commitment to inclusion through sport.

With this initiative, the ten athletes who have starred in the inclusive test within the official marathon, completed the 42.195 kilometers in a relay race. The project, promoted by AD Mapoma, the Madrid City Council and Coca-Cola Spain, aims to give visibility to the ten participating foundations to raise awareness of the important work they perform. Precisely, all of them received a few weeks ago at the Vallehermoso Stadium an award in recognition of their work.

The runners of the Dis-Friendly Marathon had the experience and support of Jesús España, an athletics legend, who walked the last two kilometers to the finish line with the participants.

A race full of exciting moments where Envera's animation team, formed by its residents and professionals, cheered all the athletes from different places along the route such as Paseo de la Castellana, Recoletos, Calle Mayor or Plaza de España.
