Envera and Asteroid Technologies collaborate to facilitate comprehensive accessibility through technology

Madrid | February 25, 2025

Envera and Asteroid Technologies have signed an agreement to collaborate in the development of technologies that facilitate communication for people with disabilities or special accessibility needs, thus eliminating barriers that prevent them from expressing themselves or performing everyday activities, such as traveling or shopping in a store. This was stated today by Enrique Grande, general manager of Envera, and Mateo Nicolás Salvatto, CEO and co-founder of Asteroid, at the signing of the agreement that took place at Envera's headquarters in Madrid.

This collaboration began a few months ago thanks to the launching of the Háblalo app on behalf of Iberiaa mobile application developed by Asteroid, which was tested with people with intellectual, physical and sensory disabilities from Envera.

The launch of Háblalo has been a major milestone in aviation that favors universal accessibility and more independent travel, and that "improves communication for people with hearing disabilities, language barriers or other communication difficulties," as the airline points out.

From now on, Asteroid will have beneficiaries from Envera - Iberia's social work since its foundation 48 years ago - to improve its technology and learn first-hand about the accessibility needs of people with disabilities, especially intellectual disabilities, and their families.

Envera brings almost half a century of experience in caring for people with disabilities and also, thanks to its aeronautical DNA, in the commitment to accessible and friendly travel, companies and places for all people, regardless of their needs or age.

As Grande states, "what is good for people with disabilities is good for society as a whole, especially if we are talking about a country like Spain and a continent like Europe with an increasingly senior population that wants to travel and be welcomed with open arms."

With this agreement, both organizations are committed to consolidating this relationship and expanding the number of people and companies that can benefit from this technology to break down barriers and achieve a more accessible world.
