Fundación MAPFRE Canarias supports, through its Program of Grants for Social Projects, the Click Envera x Ellas Project: access to the labor market to cut the digital divide for twenty women with intellectual disabilities or mental illness, with the aim of increasing their chances of accessing the labor market.
With this initiative and thanks to the support of the Foundation, Envera will train women with disabilities in digital and technological skills in its delegations in Tenerife and Gran Canaria, promoting their inclusion, autonomy and independence through modules on the latest technologies in communication, management of the digital world and basic procedures in auxiliary training services.
The presentation of the 2024 edition of the Fundación MAPFRE Canarias Social Projects Grants Program took place on November 29th at its institutional headquarters in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in a ceremony presided over by Eva Nacarino, trustee of Fundación MAPFRE Canarias and territorial general manager of MAPFRE Canarias, and Esther Martel, director of Fundación MAPFRE Canarias, which was also attended by members of the MAPFRE volunteers who are part of the group of "Ambassadors", who will accompany these projects during the coming year, as well as representatives of the awarded entities.
In addition, the head of the delegation of Envera in Gran Canaria, has participated in a special program of Más de uno Canarias' on Onda Cero where she explained the details of the Click Envera x Ellas: access to the working world, which will start next January and will be developed over four months.
