"Together we are stronger" on Radio Terrícola. Program 49

Madrid | May 26, 2020

We begin the program with the emotion of a reunion with a very dear friend of Envera, Antonio Vázquez, president of IAG. Minutes of confidences await us on this side and on the other side of the pond, wishing with all our hearts that the airplanes, whose trails weave our dreams, cross the blue sky full of hope. And from tenor to tenor. Driven by the torrent of Antonio Vázquez's voice, we will reach another extraordinary international lyric singer: Israel Lozano. To talk to him in the United States we will cross the sea with great memories and new illusions. And we have not forgotten our beneficiaries, who are also a heaven. A heavenly radio space where therapy dogs have had a place of honor.

ANTONIO VÁZQUEZ, Chairman of IAG, after showing great concern for the situation that airlines are going through, which has a direct impact on travelers and workers, has left us a message of optimism because "little by little we will see our airplanes take flight". Of course we will, Antonio. Afterwards, our guest spoke of his affection for Envera and the work it performs. Admiration and deep mutual affection that we are looking forward to materialize when he comes to visit us with his wife Lola, another heaven. A visit that was suspended when the pandemic monster showed its face. His speech ended with an emotional remembrance of those who have left us during the pandemic and confidence in the embrace that is to come. As it could not be otherwise, a closed applause was the way to say goodbye.

ANA BENAVIDES, general director of the Fundación Lealtad, also looked up to the sky to express her gratitude that her personal and work environment has not suffered from the coronavirus. She went on to detail that there are 210 accredited NGOs that are subject to an exhaustive control based on 9 principles with 43 indicators, essential to obtain the seal of the Fundación Lealtad, which is the hallmark of transparency and good governance. In short, the aim is to ensure that these organizations "do not say one thing and do another". In this regard, the 10 tips he gave before donating to an NGO to avoid abuses in a situation such as the one we are living in were very interesting. She recommends not to donate to individuals, but to organizations, and to be a long-term donor and not only circumstantially so that the organizations are sustainable. For Ana and her great team we had to stop the second applause of the morning.

ISRAEL LOZANO, the great tenor whose interpretations have been enlivening the entire program, is a great friend of Envera and has not hesitated to intervene from Washington D.C. with the added value that it was a quarter to seven in the morning. Before moving on to other things, he recalled the solidarity concert that took place in La Zarzuela four years ago with the great Plácido Domingo and Antonio Vázquez himself. The current situation, which has lived confined with his three-year-old daughter and his wife, has meant for him "a brutal break" that has forced him to suspend no less than eight events he had scheduled internationally. Among all of them, he has highlighted the opera "No roses without thorns" that was going to take him from Spain to America in commemoration of the 5th centenary of Magellan's circumnavigation of the world. Although they were working flat out on this project, he ended by saying that in the end the important thing is to be well "and we'll see how we restart". After sending us "a strong lyrical hug" and giving his support and love to those who have suffered from the pandemic, he said an emphatic "viva la vida". Even so, the best wish was for Virginia Ródenas, to whom he sang an impressive happy birthday, recommending that she imagine a cake (which could well have been made by the tenor's wife, dedicated to creative baking). Long ovation to this impressive singer and enormous human being.

ALICIA GODOY, an Envera beneficiary, spoke from home with her mother, Begoña, to say that she finally saw her cousins yesterday and that she is looking forward to meeting up with her Envera friends, whom she has seen by video call; she has even communicated with her first schoolmates when she was a child. Her mother told us that everyone has been fine during this time, including Freia the cat, who has spent the confinement begging for food. We have learned from her mother that Alicia had tears in her eyes, but of emotion, and that she had not yet heard the

applause dedicated to the two of them and to all those who have kept an exemplary confinement, as their companions in the residence. New applause for Alicia and her mother.

BEGOÑA MORENZA, from Yaracán, closed the program in the most doggy way. Nothing less than talking about the emotional role played by the dogs in the therapy workshop at Envera, providing affection. So much so that "sometimes we are left over" because of the magic that is created between the beneficiaries and these animals. And the influence of the dog is so beneficial that the results are seen instantly. She has not left us without giving some tips for a good canine de-escalation: before they can socialize with each other and return home alone after the permanent company of their owners, it is advisable to leave them in spaces where they are alone and quiet.

We were reassured to hear good advice and to know that the interviewees are in good health and eager to collaborate.

Thank you all and tomorrow, more. We look forward to seeing you.
