Madrid | May 25, 2020

Festive program today as befits a change of phase, after so long out of phase in Madrid... Phase 1 has arrived. And with it a program full of good news such as births of babies, scholarships for education studies, organic gardens, literary grandparents who escape from the residence and jokes of Aragon in cascade... Anyone else?

RUBÉN ORTIZ, head of Envera's Training and Job Placement Service, who is about to become a father, summed up his job by saying that the goal is for people with disabilities to get a job. An objective that is achieved thanks to a highly competent team of professionals. After pointing out the importance of scholarships for those without financial resources, he mentioned the programs in his area: Crece Formándote, for students over 16 years of age, with the objective of graduating from ESO; Gradúate en ESO, which since 2005 has achieved 80% of passes with an official diploma; about the Public Examinations Program, a pioneer in Envera, aimed at obtaining positions in the Public Administration, he pointed out that 89% of the students win the competitive examination and five students are already civil servants; of the third program, Destino Empleo, he said that it tries to help find the job profile and prepare in with internships through agreements with official bodies. "What we want is that our students know the reality of the companies and the work in public bodies so that they become the best".

SANTIAGO REDONDO, a student of secondary education in Envera has said that it is very important to study to get the title, as it is the step, in his case, to achieve the middle grade in Computer Science. So, as he is now studying all morning from home, he will pass for sure, since the on-line activities count for the grade. Come on Santiago, don't lose heart, the course is "chupao"!

JOSE LUIS CÓRDOBA, volunteer at Huerta Envera, and his daughter, LAURA CÓRDOBA, who has made a documentary about Envera, had a very juicy intervention. The daughter, LAURA, recalled the filming of her documentary "Referentes", which she made as an internship at the "José Luis Garci" center in Alcobendas. She said that it was a great personal experience because of the welcome she received at Envera and the participation of Sara, "who seemed to me an example because she showed many concerns".

The father, JOSE LUIS, began by acknowledging himself as a better person since he has been involved with Envera, where he arrived because of his friendship with Jesús de Frutos. Then he explained what Envera's hydroponic garden is like and, more interestingly, what this little-known word means. It is an agricultural system that works without soil, with seeds planted in a type of foam and receive nutrients through a water recirculation system that runs in the tube where the plants are planted. It is all organic production. In a very short time the fruits begin to be obtained. The fact that it is high up and not at ground level also facilitates the work of some beneficiaries with limited mobility and is much more comfortable for the workshops. As a farewell, the applause was extended to Justo and Enrique Malave, two Envera beneficiaries who are passionate about the garden.

RAFAEL SOLER, vice president of the Society of Writers and poet who has participated in the poetic section of INTRAVERSOS, began his speech with total joy because soon we will embrace again. Something that in Envera "goes in the contract", as David reminded us. For someone like him who has received many awards and best reviews, "success is that a reader is moved by what you write". And he moved us all by talking about his book "Necesito una isla grande" (I need a big island), which narrates the adventure of five grandparents who escape from the nursing home to reach the sea: "a hymn to the dignity of the elderly", he said. A hug to Jesus del Real for the loss of Maxi Rey has served as a background to the reading of some poems for young people. Verses of deep depth as this one: "Only when you arrive you consider what you have lived". New applause full of gratitude and admiration.

AMADEO MELER and our main humorist, FELIPE RICO, have put the best colophon with their jokes and jokes from Aragon itself. It is impossible to summarize so much jocularity gathered in Aragonese words and phrases. For example, they say "que moza más escoscadica" when they see a very neat girl. Or they say "Ahivadahí" (if you can write the word in question) to ask someone to please get out of the way. Although the most recognized phrase is "hala maño" which means "cheer up, speed up, there's not much time left. On a serious note, Amadeo has announced that the guest in his sports section next Friday will be the flag bearer in the next Olympics, Saúl Cravioto. Bravo for our sports director. We close with a jota, the one performed by the local group "Los mainates" (mozo, in Aragonese), after congratulating Virginia, who has her birthday today.

A sensational start to the week for Radio Terrícola and for all its listeners, who are already with open arms for the next meeting with family, friends and colleagues. Tomorrow, more.
