The Envera Association renews its transparency seal with Fundación Lealtad

Madrid | September 24, 2018

After verifying full compliance with the 9 Principles of Transparency and Good Practices, Fundación Lealtad has renewed the Accredited NGO Seal to Envera - Asociación de Empleados de Iberia Padres de Personas con Discapacidad (Association of Iberia Employees Parents of People with Disabilities).

In this sense, as José Antonio Quintero, president of Envera, explains, "transparency and good practices are the cornerstone of Envera, a value inherent to its raison d'être. We must be accountable to our donors, patrons, users and benefactors, not only for the fulfillment of our mission through a service of the highest quality, but also for the legality, ethics and efficiency that must govern the use of every last resource. Therein lies our credibility and our reputation".

In order to obtain the seal again, which means "credibility, reputation and excellence" for the entity, aspects such as the proper functioning of the NGO's governing body in fulfilling its responsibilities and the efficient use of its resources, the sustainability of the entity and the reliability of its communication, as well as the coherence of its activities with its general interest mission, among many other aspects, have been studied.

Revalidating the badge is "the guarantee that we are what we say we are because we are audited by a prestigious independent foundation. Transparency today is not an option, it is an obligation that must be contrasted. This allows us to access new opportunities, inside and outside Spain, which help us to continue advancing in Envera's mission for the full social and labor inclusion of people with intellectualdisabilities," adds Quintero.

The nine principles that Envera complies with as an accredited NGO are:

The accredited association, which is part of the Envera Group, was created in 1977 by a group of workers of the Iberia company with the aim of facing together and seeking common solutions to the problems of their children and family members with disabilities. It currently focuses its work on covering the needs of people with disabilities in a comprehensive manner. To fulfill this mission, which accounts for 71.9% of its expenses, it has the support of 188 collaborating partners, 84 volunteers and a team of employees of 242 people. In 2016, it managed a budget of more than 5.8 million euros.
