The Minister of Presidency, Justice and Interior of the Community of Madrid, Enrique López, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Presidency, Miguel Ángel García Martín; the Vice-President of Plena Inclusión Madrid, Mariano Casado; and the General Director of Envera, Enrique Grande, presented the Guide to carry out procedures of the Community of Madrid through the Internet in easy-to-read format, mainly aimed at people with disabilities. The guide is mainly aimed at people with intellectual disabilities. The publication will simplify the electronic relationship of any citizen with the regional administration.

The Guide has been presented in the Aula Iberia of Envera Group, where students with intellectual disabilities have had the opportunity to explain to the counselor how the use of the guide facilitates the completion of procedures such as the issuance of the DNI or electronic certificate. Lucía Pérez de Ayala, Envera student, said that "this guide makes us all more equal".

"With this initiative, we take another step forward from the Madrid Executive to advance towards real and effective equality of all citizens, including the most vulnerable, in order to promote their integration and participation in political, economic, cultural and social life," said Lopez.

For his part, Grande stressed that "this guide is good for all citizens, including the elderly, as it facilitates accessibility to the procedures with the administration".

The aforementioned guide details all the procedures that can be carried out online with the Community of Madrid and contains a list of the web pages where you can access these procedures and explains the steps to follow to carry them out.

This work is the result of an agreement between the regional government and Plena Inclusión, an association that defends the rights of people with disabilities, for the adaptation of documents of special interest. Easy reading is a technique that applies specific writing and design guidelines to achieve simple contents for, for example, people with reading comprehension difficulties, dyslexia or poor knowledge of Spanish.

After the presentation, the counselor went to the microphones of Radio Terrícola, a workshop of the Envera Occupational Center, where he was interviewed by reporters with intellectual disabilities.

The general director of Transparency and Citizen Services of the Community of Madrid, Pablo García-Valdecasas, and the director of Plena Inclusión Madrid, Javier Luengo, also participated in the hearing.
