Next Sunday the Zurich Rock'n'Roll Running Madrid Series will flood the streets of Madrid with 34,000 athletes who will participate in the queen of athletics, the marathon, and among them are ten athletes with intellectual disabilities, including the Envera athlete Daniel Rodriguez, who thanks to Coca-Cola and MAPOMA will participate in the Dis-Friendly Relay Madrid Marathon, which is celebrated as a pioneer in the world for the second consecutive year.
To warm up the engines, from the Envera Occupational Center in Madrid we have moved with the mobile unit of Radio Terrícola to make a live broadcast from Expodepor, the Sports Fair, which is being held these days at IFEMA.
From the stand of our friends from Coca-Cola, the intrepid reporters have collected the impressions of organizers and participants of this new edition of the Zurich Rock'n'Roll Running Madrid Series, which this year will be more sustainable than ever and has a very solidary aspect thanks to the commitment of MAPOMA with the most vulnerable.
Our reporters have had great guests at the speakers' table. The program was opened by Pedro Rumbao, vice-president of MAPOMA and CEO of Zurich Rock'n'Roll Running Madrid, who told us about the new features of this year's race.
Sergio Rojas and Daniel Rodríguez, athletes from the Ícaro-Envera Club who participated in the first edition of the Disfriendly Marathon last year, also took part in the program.
Dani Millán, worker and volunteer at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, spoke to us about the important work that volunteers do. And we know a lot about this at Envera, since thanks to their support we have our Radio Terrícola studio in Madrid.
For her part, Delia López, Director of Communications for Running Adidas, tells all that this company brings to the marathon, among other things and free of charge, the equipment with which Daniel will run next Sunday.
And the program is closed by our dear Eugenio García, Communications and External Relations Manager at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, friend of Envera and veteran in Radio Terrícola, with whom we have sent our best wishes to all athletes.
In addition to the advice and words of support from our guests, we have enjoyed unique moments during the program such as a stress test starring our host, Adrián Llopis, and even an interview with a robot dog.
For all this, do not miss this extraordinary program before the big day, next Sunday, April 23, the day of the DIS-FRIENDLY RELAY MADRID MARATHON. We are waiting for you to cheer on our runner Daniel.
