The activist for freedom in Venezuela, former MEP and coordinator of the Madrid Foro Empresarial's Hispanic America Board, Leopoldo López Gil, visited Envera's headquarters in Madrid together with Antonieta Mendoza, expert in Communication and Corporate Affairs and collaborator of the Spanish Renal Foundation, and were received by the general director of Envera and coordinator of the MFE's Competitive Social Responsibility Board, Enrique Grande.

Both businessmen, parents of Venezuelan leader Leopoldo López, have learned more about the social project that Envera has been developing for 48 years as Iberia's social work, accompanying 5,000 people with intellectual disabilities and their families on their life's journey every year and providing stable employment for 950 professionals with disabilities.

In addition, thanks to its commitment to the 2030 Agenda and the network of alliances it has woven with 25 other NGOs, Envera donates material and food to help more than 7,600 vulnerable people in countries such as Spain, Senegal, Ethiopia, Cuba and Venezuela.

During the visit, students from Envera's Training and Job Placement Service talked and exchanged ideas with the Venezuelan lawyer, who is considered an important reference in the defense of human rights and democracy.

As a culmination of the visit to Envera and after also knowing the Early Care and Neurodevelopment Center for Children and Youth, reporters with intellectual disabilities of the Occupational Center have made an interesting interview in the studio of Radio Terrícola.

In addition to talking about the importance of inclusion and the defense of equal opportunities and the rights of all people, the reporters asked about the situation of people with disabilities in Venezuela.

During the interview, very emotional moments were experienced and values such as freedom, dignity, freedom of expression and social justice were extolled as guarantors of a democratic and better society for all.
