Early in the morning, the Radio Terrícola team set out to face a new challenge in the hectic season that we started just a few weeks ago.
An outstanding team of students from the Occupational Center and users of our Residence for the Elderly, made up the elite team that was going to travel to Valladolid, on the occasion of the inauguration of the third Envera Inclusion Point, thanks to Carmila and the Carrefour Solidarity Foundation. The mobile unit returned to the road to cover a historic event that will mark a new milestone, fundamental to understand Envera's commitment to the labor inclusion of people with disabilities.
After two hours of travel, we were twenty minutes away from the opening ceremony, where the mayor of Valladolid, Óscar Puente, would preside; supported by Ignacio Tremiño, deputy for Valladolid; the president of Envera, José Antonio Quintero; the general manager of Envera, Pedro Sobrino; Carlos Pilar, commercial director of Carmila; and María Cid, director of the Carrefour Solidarity Foundation.
With some trepidation and haste, everything was ready before the first canutazo, in front of the facade of our magnificent store, full of valuable pieces of craftsmanship, top brand glasses, clothing and footwear, suitcases, baby carriages, musical instruments, souvenirs from around the world ... a real dream bazaar, available to everyone and for all tastes.
Along with other media, who came to spread the news, the microphones of Radio Terrícola picked up the impressions of the mayor, Óscar Puente, who kindly sat down with us to give us his opinion about the initiative and to answer the singular questions of Clara, José Antonio and Sara, already usual in events of certain importance and gala.
A cool morning in the Castilian plains, which leaves us with the satisfaction and the desire, like those comedians of yesteryear, to repack the tangle of cables and devilish machines, to continue on the road to new radio challenges and unknown frontiers.
Thanks to the Carmila group and its Carrefour Solidarity Foundation, for this new space, provided free of charge, in the Carrefour Parquesol shopping center, where we are sure that all objects lost in airplanes and airports, which have been disposed of after the legal deadline for their claim, will have a new opportunity, and will also provide an opportunity to highlight the skills of people with disabilities.
Envera Inclusion Point is a pioneering project in Europe, in which Carmila and Carrefour Solidarity Foundation collaborate, which has provided stable employment to more than 30 people with disabilities.
