A delegation of Envera, formed by 20 athletes and 6 coaches participate from today in the Special Olympics Reus 2016 National Games, which will be held until November 27, and will feature 800 athletes from Spain and 10 European countries, supported by 200 coaches and 400 volunteers. For Envera it is also the finishing touch to the celebration of its XXV Anniversary of work in favor of inclusive sport.
Under the Special Olympics oath "I want to win, but if I don't succeed, let me be brave in the attempt", Envera athletes, representing the Community of Madrid, will compete in rhythmic gymnastics, swimming and motor tests. The competitions are held at the Olympic Pavilion, the Reus Ploms Swimming Club, the Reus Deportiu Club and the Monterols Tennis Club.
Envera has participated in the history of these games, which are held every 4 years, with 190 athletes, who are loyal allies of Special Olympics, its sports philosophy and sports management model for people with intellectual disabilities, an example of social integration that has crossed borders.
