On October 6, 2014 was held in the auditorium of the Parish of La Caridad, the closing ceremony of the Project Atalaya "Installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas", belonging to the Training Program in Alternation with Employment (PFAE), which has lasted 9 months and has been developed in the Association of Employees of Iberia Parents of Disabled (A.P.M.IB.) - envera. Project co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Canary Employment Service (SCE), in agreement with the City Council of Tacoronte.
The ceremony was attended by: the Director of the SCE Mr. Alejandro Martín López, the Mayor of Tacoronte Mr. Álvaro Dávila Glez, the Deputy Mayor Mr. Ignacio Álvarez Pérez, the Director of A.P.M.IB. Mrs. Elizabeth Martín Hdez, the Parish Priest Mr. Ignacio Gómez Galtier. They gave the diplomas to the student workers belonging to the Atalaya Project who finished their work.
During the event, the student workers showed a video of the work they had done, explaining the work carried out in the La Caridad-La Atalaya area, reflecting the great social work in which these students participated.
The event was attended by neighbors and family members who, together with the authorities, valued very positively the effort and work done.
The project is in its last phase, since APMIB's objective is the insertion of at least 3 of the participants, so the Association will continue working with the group of students.
