The award was presented by the president of the Community of Madrid, the regional vice-president and the president of FEMADDI.

The City Council of Las Rozas and the Radio Televisión Madrid corporation also received awards.

Envera's Sports Director, Amadeo Meler, has received this Monday a recognition for his professional dedication for three decades for the promotion of sport for people with intellectual disabilities. The award was presented by the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso; the vice president of Madrid, Ignacio Aguado; and the president of FEMADDI, Ángel Arévalo, during the Gala Values organized by the Madrid Federation of Sports for People with Intellectual Disabilities at the headquarters of the regional government in Puerta del Sol.

Meler went up to collect the award accompanied by Ignacio "Nacho" Mateos, one of the most veteran athletes of the Ícaro - Envera sports club, representing the more than 300 athletes that Envera trains every day as part of the activities carried out in the headquarters that this non-profit social organization has in Madrid, Colmenar Viejo, Barcelona, Malaga, Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

In addition to Envera, awards were also given to athletes, coaches and family members of other social entities, as well as to the City Council of Las Rozas for its commitment to inclusive sports and Telemadrid for its coverage of the Parainclusive Games of the Community of Madrid.

Diaz Ayuso stressed that "the Community of Madrid is a region open to all" and that work must be done so that "sport can be practiced by anyone who wants to do it". The regional president also acknowledged that "supporting athletes with intellectual disabilities" is necessary "to integrate everyone".

Also present at the gala were the Minister of Social Policies, Families, Equality and Birth of the Community of Madrid, Alberto Reyero; his Deputy Minister, Javier Luengo; the Deputy Minister of Sports, Roberto Núñez; the delegate of the Sports Area of the Madrid City Council and President of the Municipal Board of Barajas, Sofía Miranda; the Deputy Director General of Sports of the City Council, Ricardo Navacerrada; and the Director General of the Montemadrid Foundation, Cristóbal Sánchez.
