In Radio Terrícola we can say that we play all styles, as in flamenco. The visits are so many and so different that there are few surprises that catch us off guard: some days businessmen come, well-dressed and better groomed; others are no less, politicians or civil servants; also musicians and artists, something more casual, let's say; painters of great art, wise professors, renowned journalists, alchemists pharmacists, bankers, intrepid aviators and seasoned pilots, puppeteers, sorceresses and jugglers, military Herculeans, friends and friends so peculiar .... some dedicated to sports, cinema, dance, invention, show business, others, distinguished magistrates and hundreds of other variables... pure flamenco.
Why do we refer today to all this cast of characters that have passed through our microphones? Simply because today we are lucky enough to have among us a person who puts in value something that for us is vital, essential, without which none of our fantastic guests, neither we ourselves, nor future generations, will have the slightest chance of continuing to enjoy this unique planet: environmental care.
Ana Méndez is a young biologist, part of the company Creando Redes. She is part of a team of professionals dedicated to the recovery of ecosystems and the development of green infrastructure in rural and urban areas.
In today's interview we have been enthusiastic, envisioning a cleaner, more sustainable, more livable world where respect for ecosystems will be a priority in this society where today, apparently, it is something for a few crazy people, called ecologists. We delve into exciting topics such as environmental awareness and planning, consumption, pollution, respect for plants, animals, space, water and the air we breathe.
Ana represents the ideal that many of us have in our minds of a young person concerned about what is really important, sensitive and committed, who provides solutions to the chaotic human unreason. The excessive destructive action of our way of life is possibly reversible if there were many more Anas, more projects like those proposed in Creando Redes, but it is up to each one to contribute and grow or continue ignoring the sad and infamous reality of what we cause.
That list of illustrious guests today has become bigger, not because of their number or because of all the autographs that you have signed, today it is substantially enriched by the values that Ana has transmitted to us and by the hope that if we assimilate them, we will continue to offer our microphones, our world, to future mentalities as lucid as that of our guest.
