Madrid | September 16, 2016

Carmila inaugurates a space in the Carrefour Ciudad de la Imagen Shopping Center (Pozuelo, Madrid) to accommodate the social and labor project supported by ENVERA (Association of Iberia Employees Parents of People with Disabilities for the social and labor integration of people with functional diversity). This new establishment offers visitors the opportunity to collaborate with the Association through the recycling of suitcases and the purchase of objects lost in airplanes.

The event was attended by José Antonio Quintero, president of Envera, and its general manager, Pedro Sobrino; Alberto Rodríguez, head of Carmila's Asset Management North, and Rosa Cánovas, director of the Carrefour Ciudad de la Imagen hypermarket.

This initiative, which complements the Carrefour Foundation's social action policy, is a further step in the integration of people with disabilities into the world of work through a unique and pioneering initiative in Europe in the shopping mall sector.

Visitors who come to the 'Inclusion Point' will be able to purchase handmade products such as jewelry, key rings, "Medicinal Jars" with funny messages, lamps or baskets. The products have been made by the beneficiaries of the Occupational Center and the Residence for the Elderly of 45 years of age with premature aging that Envera manages in Colmenar Viejo.

In addition, in this space it is possible to discover objects lost in airplane cabins and lost suitcases which, after the legal period has elapsed, have not been claimed or identified by their owners and which are donated to the ENVERA project. All these products start at a symbolic minimum price, but the final price will be set by the customer according to the value he considers the product to have and the underlying work involved in recycling in solidarity.
