This Wednesday the Government Delegate in Madrid, Concepción Dancausa, was received by the President of Envera, José Antonio Quintero, and its General Director, Pedro Sobrino, at the Comprehensive Center for Disability Care that Envera has in the Madrid town of Colmenar Viejo.
The Government Delegate, who had already visited Envera in 2007 as head of Family and Social Services of the Madrid City Council, accompanying the Infanta Elena in the 30th anniversary of the AssociationShe shared a day with the beneficiaries and professionals of the Residence for Elderly People 45 years old with Premature Aging, the Special Employment Center, Sports and the Occupational Center, where the announcers of Radio Terrícola were waiting for her. Throughout the tour, the Delegate was especially interested in the activities carried out by people with disabilities in the different assistance services.
During the interview in Radio TerrícolaIn her speech, in a therapeutic workshop carried out by people with disabilities, Dancausa pointed out the importance of the labor insertion of people with functional diversity and the commitment to be acquired by public administrations since "from any job you can work to improve people's lives". She also wanted to recognize the work of "families and organizations that are so committed" and with whom "it is fortunate to have".
José Antonio Quintero thanked the Delegate for her interest in Envera's mission ten years after her last visit, when there was still no the Residences for the Elderly with Premature Aging, the Day Center for the Seriously Affected or the improvements in the Occupational Center and the Special Employment Center, which are some of the most significant facilities of the Organization. Today Envera - Asociación de Empleados de Iberia Padres de Personas con Discapacidad continues to evolve and make it possible for people with intellectual disabilities to have more and better quality care, more training, more and better employment, a mission that is the goal of all those who form Envera and that would not be possible without the commitment of public entities.
