Students from Envera, a benchmark in employment and training of people with disabilities, visit the City Hall of San Sebastián de los Reyes.

Madrid | November 10, 2016

A group of students with disabilities, all belonging to the Envera Association, visited the City Hall of San Sebastián de los Reyes. During the morning of this Thursday they have been able to know the facilities and operation of the town hall and the building of El Caserón, which houses the ethnographic museum and whose objects are part of the history of the municipality and its surroundings.

The visit has served to give them to know firsthand the public service and the closeness of the local administration and those workers, politicians and technicians who are part of it. At all times, they have been guided by the deputy spokesperson of the Popular Party in the town, Lucia Fernandez.

Envera is a non-profit organization that works for the social and labor integration of people with disabilities throughout their life cycle. Among other things, it provides early care and neurodevelopment, school support and training, job placement and employment, leisure, culture and sports, as well as residential care. It has centers in Madrid, Colmenar Viejo, Barcelona, Malaga, Tenerife and Las Palmas. It employs more than 500 people with disabilities and assists more than 2,500 a year.

Thanks to visits like this one, young people with disabilities have the opportunity to improve their education and feel how the barriers that separate them from integration can and should be broken down.
