De-escalation of healthcare services with inclusion and health more present than ever before

Madrid | June 3, 2020

After having put in place serious prevention, protection and containment measures to deal with the coronavirus health crisis, the progress of the state of alarm and the relaxation of the de-escalation rules set by the health authorities have allowed Envera's healthcare centers to gradually return to normal operations.

And we do so in the same spirit with which in 1977 a group of Iberia employees decided to join forces to show that their children with disabilities were capable of working and taking their place in the world with dignity. During these months we have once again demonstrated that together we are stronger, and with this conviction we will continue to work for the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and to ensure that no one is left behind.

We would like to acknowledge the great work that Envera professionals have done in this crisis, both in person and through virtual tools, which has allowed all Envera's care services to continue providing support to people with intellectual disabilities and their families, while respecting the confinement measures.

On the other hand, the support and trust of families has once again been key to overcoming this health crisis together. Now it is time to face a new social crisis that has been put in front of us. For this, families can always count on Envera's support.

Our priority is always the welfare of people and the maintenance of their jobs, so the return to on-site activities will be carried out with the utmost health and hygiene precautions, taking into account phases 1, 2 and 3 of the de-escalation and always following the indications that the health and social policy authorities set in each territory, in full coordination with Envera's Healthcare Services management.

- Early care

On Wednesday, June 3, the Early Intervention and Neurodevelopment Service for Children and Adolescents will resume its face-to-face sessions in a staggered manner.

Telematic care is maintained for at-risk children or families, at least until the end of phase 3 of de-escalation.

- Training and Job Pl acement -

The Training Service in the Canary Islands is already coordinating the face-to-face exams of its students in the certificates of professionalism, guaranteeing protection and distance measures. As from June 8, on-site classes will be resumed in those courses where it is possible to maintain a limited capacity and the appropriate measures.

In Madrid, on-line training will continue until the end of the course (June 30).

The Labor Insertion Service (SIL) will continue to offer virtual assistance to its beneficiaries through the usual channels (videoconferences, e-mail, telephone...).

The occupational centers in Colmenar Viejo and Gran Canaria, as well as the Day Center for People with High Levels of Dependency, begin their activities on the 8th, also in a progressive manner.

Priority will be given to assisting the most vulnerable people and in no case will the capacity of each center exceed 50% of its capacity.

The canteen service is suspended until phase 3 and after evaluation.

Route services are offered in accordance with current public transportation regulations and with all the necessary safety measures (hygiene, social distancing, use of protective elements, etc.).

Telematic attention is maintained for beneficiaries who remain at home.

- Residences -

Beginning next week (Phase 2), residents who have passed the pandemic in their homes will be able to return to Envera's residences. They will do so in a staggered manner and prioritizing those families who have a more urgent situation.

Since Tuesday, June 2, family visits to Envera residents have resumed, and they have maintained contact at all times by telephone and video call. These visits are carried out with restrictions that will become more flexible throughout the phases.

In phase 3, and after an assessment, outings will be resumed by residents who return to their homes during the weekend.

We hope to count, as always, on everyone's collaboration to make the return to normality a reality as soon as possible and without taking a step backwards.
