Mamadou Moustapha Loum, Consul General of the Republic of Senegal in Spain, visited Envera's headquarters in Madrid to learn about all the services provided by the organization to people with disabilities, mainly intellectual, throughout their life's journey. The visit is part of the collaboration that Envera maintains with the NGO Association Vicente del Bosque School in Senegal, in Dakar, and in order to explore new ways in the framework of cooperation to support vulnerable people or those at risk of exclusion.
The Consul General was interested in Early Care and Training, which Envera provides from the age of 16, both academically and through its professional programs. Likewise, ways of collaboration were discussed through Envera's Solidarity Recycling Center, which depends on its Special Employment Center both in Madrid and Barcelona, for donations of material, preferably in the social-health and school areas.
El cónsul, tras felicitar al presidente y al director general de Envera por el trabajo que realiza nuestra organización desde hace más de 46 años, manifestó su satisfacción por la visita expresando que "en los más de cuatro años que lleva al frente del Consulado General de Senegal, ésta ha sido una de las que me han causado más admiración y me han llegado al corazón".
El presidente de Envera, por su parte, reiteró al cónsul el deseo de seguir apoyando a las personas más vulnerables de este país africano, "de la misma manera que ayudamos en programas sociales de Etiopía o Ruanda. El compromiso de Envera con el cumplimiento de la Agenda 2030 de la ONU ha hecho que creemos esta red de ayuda gracias a nuestro proyecto de economía circular y sostenibilidad "Envera Punto de Inclusión", pionero en Europa, y al Centro de Reciclaje Solidario que nos permite llegar más lejos y más alto para mejorar la vida de las personas que lo tienen más difícil".
In the coming days, Envera and the Consulate will officially sign a collaboration agreement.
