Mamadou Moustapha Loum, Consul General of the Republic of Senegal in Spain, visited Envera's headquarters in Madrid to learn about all the services provided by the organization to people with disabilities, mainly intellectual, throughout their life's journey. The visit is part of the collaboration that Envera maintains with the NGO Association Vicente del Bosque School in Senegal, in Dakar, and in order to explore new ways in the framework of cooperation to support vulnerable people or those at risk of exclusion.
The Consul General was interested in Early Care and Training, which Envera provides from the age of 16, both academically and through its professional programs. Likewise, ways of collaboration were discussed through Envera's Solidarity Recycling Center, which depends on its Special Employment Center both in Madrid and Barcelona, for donations of material, preferably in the social-health and school areas.
The Consul, after congratulating the President and the Director General of Envera for the work that our organization has been doing for more than 46 years, expressed his satisfaction for the visit, saying that "in the more than four years that he has been in charge of the Consulate General of Senegal, this has been one of the visits that have caused me the most admiration and have touched my heart".
The president of Envera, for his part, reiterated to the consul the desire to continue supporting the most vulnerable people in this African country, "in the same way that we help in social programs in Ethiopia or Rwanda. Envera's commitment to the fulfillment of the UN's 2030 Agenda has led us to create this aid network thanks to our circular economy and sustainability project "Envera Punto de InclusiĂłn", a pioneer in Europe, and the Solidarity Recycling Center that allows us to reach further and higher to improve the lives of the people who have it hardest".
In the coming days, Envera and the Consulate will officially sign a collaboration agreement.
