In the talk held on May 6 at the Early Attention Center of Grupo Envera, the qualities of the aquatic environment as a complement to conventional therapies aimed at children were presented.
The meeting was especially aimed at fathers, mothers and other relatives of the users of the Early Intervention Center, with the collaboration of the Pixineox Center of Madrid.
The talk was given by Mr. Juan Enrique Vázquez Menlle, PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology (UAM), Bachelor of Science in Physical Activity and Sport (UPM), and professor of Physical Activity and Sport for people with functional diversity.
The aquatic environment offers multiple opportunities to propose intervention programs that complement early intervention programs. At present, there is a great consensus on the therapeutic effects of aquatic activity in the improvement of development in general and motor aspects in particular, being especially significant this improvement in the levels of proprioception, balance, coordination, perception of the body scheme, reduction of joint stress and the acquisition of motor patterns.
The informative session was positively evaluated by the families of the Early Childhood Center.
