Envera has been selected, for the second consecutive year, in the 2021 Call for ENAIRE subsidies aimed at social entities for the development of job placement and job creation activities for people with disabilities. With a grant of 77,800 euros and thanks to the second edition of Envera's ENAIRE Project, 150 disabled people will benefit from the labor insertion programs with which Envera will promote their employment, especially among companies of the aeronautical sector.
This milestone is in addition to the one already achieved last year, thanks to the ENAIRE 2020 Project, with which Envera provided employment to 200 people with disabilities during the pandemic.
Precisely in a situation like the present one, in which the COVID-19 has had a serious impact on the social and economic environment, especially on vulnerable groups, ENAIRE is committed to providing these subsidies as a mechanism which favors the necessary means and resources to guarantee the maximum development of autonomy and independence capabilities, quality of life and integration and inclusion in their personal and professional sphere for people with disabilities.
Envera, a non-profit organization with transparency accredited by Fundación Lealtad, has been working since 1977 to achieve the social and labor inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities, accompanying them throughout their lives so that they can take their place in the world with dignity. From its Labor Insertion Service (SIL), Envera offers free training, guidance, information and preparation so that people with disabilities can access a job under the same conditions as other candidates, thus contributing to equal opportunities.
For Envera, job placement is one of the basic pillars in the struggle for integration and is one of the most urgent needs of people with intellectual disabilities.
With the support of ENAIRE, Envera's Labor Insertion Service, with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Tenerife and Gran Canaria, will provide support and training to people actively seeking employment, will prepare individualized labor insertion itineraries, will accompany the beneficiaries until they are fully integrated into the workplace and will develop awareness campaigns and social responsibility (CSR) consulting for companies.
Envera also has extensive experience in networking with other entities to promote the employability of people with intellectual disabilities, including the Social Services Centers, REDempleo, La Caixa's INCORPORA Program and Madrid Foro Empresarial, where Envera leads the Competitive Social Responsibility Board.
Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility
ENAIRE's commitment with the reduction of inequalities is included in its Corporate Social Responsibility plan "Cielo comprometido", as part of the company's Strategic Plan, Flight Plan 2025.
ENAIRE, as a public business entity belonging to the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, reinforces its contribution to the objectives of the United Nations Global Compact (to which it adhered in 2018), which involves the application of universal ethical values and principles to its entire strategy and to all its operations, and to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) included in the 2030 Agenda; specifically to SDG 10 'Reducing Inequalities', which in its target 10.2, promotes 'the social, economic and political inclusion of all people, regardless of age, gender, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic status".
Both Envera and ENAIRE are firmly committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the UN in the 2030 Agenda and both entities develop joint activities to achieve a better society for all. With the ENAIRE Project for job placement for people with intellectual disabilities, Envera contributes to eleven of the 17 SDGs, including the end of poverty, gender equality, decent work and the creation of alliances.
