Envera and the NGO that helps Cuba Hombre nuevo tierra nueva have agreed to collaborate in the care of people in situations of social or economic vulnerability to improve their quality of life and achieve the integration of people at risk of social exclusion.
This was signed by the presidents of both entities, José Antonio Quintero and Víctor Bernal, respectively, in a ceremony that took place this Wednesday at the Envera Integral Disability Center in Colmenar Viejo (Madrid).
Through this collaboration, Envera's Solidarity Recycling Center, a repository for suitcases and objects lost in airplanes and airports, will make deliveries to Hombre Nuevo Tierra Nueva of basic necessities to contribute to humanitarian aid projects being developed in different areas of the island, such as Havana, Santiago de Cuba, Matanzas and Sancti Spiritus.
The first of these donations took place just after the signing of the agreement, when Envera's disabled workers delivered several suitcases to Bernal for their next shipment to Cuba.
With this type of collaboration, like those already maintained with other organizations such as CEAR (Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid), the Red Cross or the Vicente del Bosque Soccer School in Senegal, Envera reaffirms its commitment to the most vulnerable while placing people with disabilities as protagonists of this networking and contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
