Madrid | March 30, 2022

Envera has made available to the Community of Madrid, in coordination with the Government of Spain, several places for the care of Ukrainian refugees with disabilities in its Early Care and Neurodevelopmental Center for Children and Adolescents as well as in its Occupational Center, where it regularly attends more than 250 children and 50 adults with intellectual disabilities.

The general manager of Envera, Enrique Grande, said that "we know what an outstretched hand means when it seems that all is lost. That is why we want to give hope in the midst of this great crisis and collaborate with the Community of Madrid to contribute the best we know how to do".

For Envera, it is "especially important" that refugee children with developmental disorders or at risk of suffering them, who had already begun these therapies in their country, continue them, or begin to receive them for those who need them. Among these treatments are stimulation, psychotherapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, psychomotor therapy and school support.

As for the care of people over 18 years of age, Envera offers the services of its Occupational Center in Madrid, which range from social care and accompaniment, to therapeutic workshops, leisure and sports activities, radio workshop and canteen service.

From the Department of Family, Youth and Social Policy wanted to "expressly thank" the social entities that have shown their "solidarity" and have reiterated their "commitment of total availability and collaboration to help Ukrainian refugees".

This initiative joins other activities with which Envera has been supporting Ukrainian society since the Russian invasion began, such as sending more than 8,000 kilos of humanitarian aid to families who are resisting the siege and bombardments in the interior of the Slavic country, or raising funds for social organizations that assist people with disabilities in Ukraine.
