Envera has launched a new new WEB portal which has a Triple A level of accessibility so that everyone can navigate, interact and access information about the services that the organization offers to people with disabilities, especially intellectual disabilities, and its collaborators. This project, subsidized by the Regional Ministry of Family, Youth and Social Affairs of the Community of Madrid, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (funded by the European Union - Next Generation EU), reaffirms the commitment to inclusion and accessibility that Envera has maintained for more than four decades and, in recent years, also in the digital field.
The new WEB www.grupoenvera.org, which was launched at the end of the first half of the year, combines design and technology to enable all users to understand, navigate and fully interact, contributing to an Internet that ensures that websites, tools and technologies are designed and developed to be usable by people with disabilities and puts the user at the center of the browsing experience.
In this way, the information has been organized into three large blocks that group together the fundamental pillars of Envera: comprehensive care for people with disabilities, business services with which it creates stable and protected employment, and sustainability as a strategic element of any organization in the 21st century, which for Envera, coordinator of the Madrid Foro Empresarial - CEIM's Competitive Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee, is of great relevance.
The first of these sections describes the Assistance Services with which Envera accompanies 5,000 people with intellectual disabilities and their families every year throughout their life cycle, from Early Care and Neurodevelopment, through Training and Job Placement, Occupational and Day Centers, Leisure and Sports, Residences, to the Envera Guardianship Foundation, which watches over the rights and interests of people at risk of abandonment.
In turn, and through the different services that Envera offers to the companies that collaborate with its social mission, its Special Employment Centers spread throughout Spain provide stable employment to more than 850 professionals with disabilities.
For the first time on the WEB, Envera has highlighted the main CSR projects it carries out in the field of innovation, sustainability and in line with ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria. These include pioneering initiatives in Europe such as 'Envera Inclusion Point', the Solidarity Recycling Center, which supports other non-profit organizations, and the recycling of Iberia company uniforms, among others.
In addition, visitors to the website can also find institutional and organizational information about Envera, an entity whose transparency is accredited by the FundaciĂłn Lealtad, as well as access to exclusive content such as news, Radio TerrĂcola podcast, the latest videos on activities or the collaborations that Envera maintains with media outlets such as Industry Talks and Tour Dis-Friendly on Radio Viajera.
To guarantee the principles of accessibility and achieve the "Triple-A Level of Conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines", Envera has followed the guidelines established by the international organization World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which standardizes accessible technologies in four fundamental principles for the accessibility of content that must be perceptible, operable, understandable and robust.
In addition, Envera's website has an adaptive version that allows viewing on any type of device, whether computer, smartphone or tablet.
All this has facilitated the usability of the portal, improved its efficiency and complies with the legislation on digital accessibility, contributing to Envera's positioning as a benchmark in the care of people with disabilities and an organization committed to eleven Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Agenda 2030.
