Madrid | December 3
Iberia 's headquarters in Madrid hosted this morning, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the presentation of the Solidarity Calendar 'Committed Wings' 2025 that Envera has prepared together with the Royal Aero Club of Spain and the airline company and in which people with intellectual disabilities and aviators are the protagonists of the photographs that illustrate each of the twelve months as an example of solidarity and inclusion.
The notes of the anthem of the Valencian Community, played by the double bass player Jhorjan Bolivar, started the presentation ceremony as an emotional tribute to the victims of the "extraordinary catastrophe" caused by the DANA in Valencia, Castilla-La Mancha and Andalusia, as well as a round of applause for the volunteers and the "chains of solidarity" with which Envera has also contributed with the sending of 50.50,000 in collaboration with the SEPLA-Ayuda Foundation; furniture and material for associations and centers for the care and support of the disabled, thanks to the help of Iberia volunteers and volunteers from Barajas; as well as hydrogels and other hygiene and cleaning products, pallets that were taken to Levante by the NGO Hombre Nuevo Tierra Nueva, also an Envera collaborator.
This was recalled by the general director of Envera, Enrique Grande, who was in charge of conducting the event, which also celebrated the first anniversary of Committed Wingsa volunteer project that aims to carry out solidarity shipments to help vulnerable people and families both inside and outside Spain, with the support provided by volunteers from airlines such as Iberia and other sectors.
For Iberia's president, Marco Sansavini, "participating with Envera and RACE in the solidarity calendar has been an opportunity to come together around the great idea of the future that lies in so many children (such as those Envera serves and who appear in the calendar) and in the determination of our convictions to create a better world for all by generating prosperity, accessibility and equal opportunities. Thank you all for making this possible.
The event ended with the story and the fulfilled dream of Francisco, Envera resident with intellectual disabilities who has traveled, thanks to Iberia, to the city of Vigo to see the Christmas lights, his great passion. A desire that has been possible "thanks to the solidarity embrace that makes us fly higher and farther," said Sansavini before congratulating the attendees for Christmas.
The calendar, with photographs taken by the Mingote Award winner Miguel Berrocal, can be purchased at Envera Punto de Inclusión in the Islazul Shopping Center (Madrid), Carrefour Ciudad de la Imagen (Pozuelo de Alarcón) and Carrefour Prat (El Prat de Llobregat) and Envera' s branches (in Madrid, Colmenar Viejo, Barcelona, Málaga, Tenerife and Gran Canaria). The proceeds of the solidarity sale will go to the social projects that Envera carries out so that people with disabilities can take their place in the world with dignity, through their social and labor inclusion.
