Envera's car took second place in this solidarity race.
The award will be used to finance the safe mobility project for people with disabilities.

After a total of 563 laps of the Jarama circuit, the Envera Ford Fiesta ST managed to be the second classified of the XV Edition of the 24 Hours Ford thanks to the strategy and, above all, to the joint work demonstrated by the members of the Envera team, with the support of El Confidencial and with the ambassadors Ángel Expósito and Jesús Álvarez at the head.
Both journalists led the team made up of pilots from Autopista.es, Men's Health and Ford, as well as Envera beneficiaries, professionals and collaborators who were also present during the 24-hour competition that started at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 6.
In addition to the race and thanks to its solidarity character, the 24 Hours Ford has become an inclusive event in which emotion predominated in each of the boxes of the 12 participating entities. The people of Envera enjoyed not only the sporting event, they also joined the a-ball exhibition (wheelchair soccer) and took a ride on the emblematic Mustang.
The objective of the Ford 24 Hours is to drive as many laps of the Jarama circuit as possible during 24 hours without a break, except for driver relays and race incidents, using a limited amount of fuel (235 liters) and with only eight tires.
As Motorpress Ibérica points out, "the Envera team's race began with a very conservative strategy designed by the team coordinator, Isaac Guillén, with the objective of consuming as little fuel as possible during the first 12 hours. With all team members running very homogeneously, it was possible to delay refueling as much as possible, thus gaining an advantage over the rival teams. In the early hours of the morning, an unexpected puncture forced an unscheduled pit stop, which caused the loss of a few minutes that were decisive in the last hours of the race for the final victory.
Little by little, the team supporting Envera was moving up positions by increasing the pace, until it moved up to third position. In the last hour, very exciting, managed to climb to first position for several laps, although it was decided to slow down a bit to ensure the second position and not risk consuming all the fuel before the finish flag."
The excitement and nerves gave way to joy when the Envera car made the podium in this first edition of the 24 Hours Ford in which the Association participates with the project Movement without limits, which aims to acquire an adapted vehicle to facilitate the movement with agility and safety for beneficiaries in wheelchairs of the Envera Integral Center for Disability.
With this second place, Ford donates 20,000 euros to Envera to make this project possible. The president of Envera, José Antonio Quintero, who collected the award accompanied by the entire team, wanted to thank Ford "for its commitment to improving the quality of life of all people and its support to continue working for equal opportunities. We feel like winners, as do all those who have participated in these 24 hours, because here today, thanks to Ford, we are all winners".
