In collaboration with

II Edition of Envera's Family Respite program in Malaga

  • It will provide support to families of people with intellectual disabilities.
  • Will begin on May 1
  • In collaboration with Plena Inclusión Andalucía

Malaga : April 7, 2025

For the second consecutive year and after the great reception of the first edition, Envera launches the Respite Program for families of people with intellectual disabilities through its headquarters in Malaga. This is a one-time service that last year benefited ten people who received individualized support at the request of the families themselves.

Starting in May, Envera will once again offer this resource to families who request it until all places are filled, in collaboration with Plena Inclusión Andalucía, helping families to develop a more satisfactory social and family life, offering relief in situations that are already complicated such as health problems or hospitalizations within the family, need for rest and leisure, vacations, work, social or family commitments, as well as other circumstances that may alter the living habits of the person with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

What modalities does the program offer?

  • One-on-one support: response to specific needs of families with flexible duration and frequency. With a total of 200 hours of support to a minimum of 10 families.
  • Shared occasional support: aimed at families with more than one member with a disability or groups of family members of the same association. With 45 hours of support to a minimum of 5 families.
  • Accompaniment: for services that allow access to centers and activities for families with special situations, such as single parents or parents over 60 years old. 45 hours of support to a minimum of 5 families.

Who can benefit and how?

Families of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities who need occasional support, proving the Certificate of Disability and the personal data of the main caregiver.
