In February 2014 APMIB BARCELONA, SL started the service of cleaning kitchen utensils at the Gate-Gourmet facilities in El Prat de Llobregat, with the creation of three jobs.
This process has been possible thanks to the support and experience of Gategourmet's staff, who have trusted us and have helped us in the development of this challenge and in the continuous improvement of processes. In one of the periodic audits, the efficiency of the team was highlighted and the company expressed it with a "Thank You Note", a thank you note published in their internal media.
One of our goals is to be able to integrate people with disabilities in the ordinary company and in this project we have achieved it, as Gategourmet has shared:
From GateGourmet we celebrate the incorporation of the packing staff to our Barcelona unit. The beginning was not easy, since the workers had to adapt to a job that requires great capacity to adapt to production times, having to balance the volume of work between very quiet valley moments and very sharp peaks of work. On the other hand, they have had to assimilate our internal food safety procedures, which are very demanding since their work has a direct impact on the final quality of our products. The result has been very satisfactory since they are one more of our staff and their work is being carried out in a very favorable way..
