On November 18 and 19, Pavilion 2 of the IFEMA fairgrounds in Madrid once again hosted the 9th edition of the Employment and Disability Fair with the aim of bringing together employers and people with disabilities seeking employment to facilitate their integration, as well as to raise awareness in society and activate labor participation.
This free event, organized by the Community of Madrid, continues to be a benchmark in labor intermediation for workers with disabilities, improving their employability and spreading a message of integration through employment.
Fátima Báñez, Minister of Employment and Social Security, together with Carlos Izquierdo, Minister of Social Policies and Family, and Engracia Hidalgo, Minister of Economy, Employment and Finance, opened the event.
Grupo Envera - APMIB did not want to miss the opportunity to participate, one more year, in this important event where people and companies come to meet.
For the ninth consecutive year, we set up the Envera stand so that visitors could get to know us closely. In the 2014 edition, a total of 1,343 resumes were received in person and through the form on the official website of the fair. It is expected that this year the number of resumes collected will be similar.
As Rubén Ortiz, coordinator of the training and job placement service, points out, nearly 450 people with disabilities work at the Envera Group's special employment centers, in addition to the 125 workers employed in external companies. In addition, from the labor insertion service (SIL), Envera facilitated access to employment to 51 workers throughout 2014.
The boys and girls of the Vocational Training and Adult Education Program of Madrid and Colmenar Viejo did not want to miss the Fair either and came to IFEMA with interest.
