Jesús Marañón, Envera's worker for 25 years, receives a tribute in his farewell ceremony

Madrid | October 2, 2015

The Envera Group, which has been working for more than 38 years for the social and labor insertion of people with disabilities, today paid an emotional tribute to Jesús Marañón, a worker at the Special Employment Center in Trespaderne, who retired after 25 years of service.

Pedro Sobrino, Envera's general manager, thanked him for his efforts over so many years "for doing your job so well. This," he added, "will always be your home. Likewise, the Human Resources Director, Lola Lasaga, expressed the sentiments of the entire organization: "Jesús, we will miss you". As a memento of this day, and of his dedication to Envera for a quarter of a century, Marañón received a certificate and a key ring made by his colleagues at the Colmenar Viejo Occupational Center.

Jesús Marañón, who expressed his joy for this farewell they are giving me. I am very happy. I will always remember you".

Jesús wanted to remember the best moments he has lived through during all this time. He dedicated words of thanks to the Support Unit that has accompanied him throughout his working life, "because I talked to them when I was feeling bad and they helped me as much as they could, they supported me and gave me advice".

She never thought it would be time for retirement. She remembers, as if it were yesterday, the day she started working at Envera, June 6, 1990: "There was a machine for sewing booties. I wasn't very good at it and they moved me to another job. I have always been very detail-oriented, I wanted the work to be very well done".

As advice for all those people with disabilities who are now starting to work, Jesus tells them: "That they work well, very well, and that they like their work".

Now Jesús Marañón, after a long working life and at 57 years of age, faces his new life devoting much of his free time to his favorite hobbies: "Watching magazines about houses and landscapes, and listening to the radio".
