Madrid | April 18, 2016

The Community of Madrid has increased by 45 the number of places that Envera - Asociación de Empleados de Iberia Padres de Personas con Discapacidad offers in its Early Attention Service with the aim of detecting and responding, as soon as possible, to the special needs of children between the ages of 0 and 6 years old, who present alterations in their development or are at risk of suffering them.

Thus, since April 1, 126 children have been benefiting from a service that Envera has been making available to families for more than 30 years, and where a multidisciplinary team of a dozen professionals provides individualized care for all types of disorders: motor, cognitive, sensory, language, communication, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), acquired brain damage, etc.

The number of beneficiaries of Early Intervention has been increasing in recent years, which has meant for Envera the need to expand the spaces for this Service with projects that have been made possible thanks to the collaboration of entities such as the ONCE Foundation, which in 2014 contributed 28,000 euros for the reform of the facilities.

In addition, Envera has been developing since 2015 the Child and Adolescent Neurodevelopment Service, a pioneering project to offer specialized care to children and young people between 6 and 18 years of age with intellectual disabilities, whose purpose is to provide continuity to the Early Care programs.

Envera is a non-profit organization, whose transparency is accredited by the Fundación Lealtad, and which for almost 40 years has been offering comprehensive care for the disabled and working for the full social and labor inclusion of people with functional diversity, offering support to their families, and counting on the support of public and private entities.
