The Director of the Madrid Agency for the Support of People with Disabilities visits Envera

Madrid | October 23, 2023

This Monday the director of the Madrid Agency for the Support of Adults with Disabilities(AMAPAD), Encarna Rivero, visited Envera's headquarters and toured the Early Care and Neurodevelopmental Services for Children and Adolescents, Training and Residence with Occupational Center that are part of the network of services in which Envera serves 5,000 people with intellectual disabilities and their families every year and provides stable employment to more than 850.

The director was accompanied by the Agency's deputy director, Lydia Ramos; Envera's general director, Enrique Grande; its director of Support and Care Services, Ana Magalló; the director of the Envera Guardianship Foundation, Marta Muñoz; and AMAPAD's social worker, Vanesa López.

Rivera has seen firsthand the work of Envera professionals as well as the daily life of people with intellectual disabilities, especially those who receive support from AMAPAD and live in Envera residences.

The visit ended with a special program on Radio Terrícola where Rivera's previous visit to Envera, then as president of the Disability Commission of the Assembly of Madrid, was recalled. Both the director of AMAPAD and the general director of Envera have reaffirmed their collaboration in the comprehensive care of people with disabilities.
