The Intermedia Foundation awards Envera the seal of collaborating company with the aim of thanking its commitment "to make possible the social work of improving the employability of the people we serve daily, especially those in situations of social vulnerability and disability".
Envera, as a non-profit organization that has been working since 1977 for the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities, has as its main objective their labor insertion and equal opportunities. In this sense, Envera serves 2,500 people with intellectual disabilities every year and provides stable employment to more than 650 in its centers in Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
Specifically, the support unit (UNAP) of Envera's Special Employment Center in Barcelona has worked together with the Intermedia Foundation so that young students with disabilities could carry out internships at the center, as well as participate in various training and motivational workshops to learn about the reality of work faced by people with disabilities in their daily lives.
In addition, since this collaboration began at the end of 2018, Envera has served 30 people with disabilities through the employment exchange of its Job Placement Service and has managed to hire two of them.
Envera highlights "the important mission of Fundació Intermedia to offer quality work, both in ordinary companies and in Special Employment Centers, to people in vulnerable situations and, in our case, to take us into account as a reference in disability, to achieve real equal opportunities and the achievement of the SDGs through the CSR of the organizations we work with".
