The General Director of Envera, Pedro Sobrino, will lead the Employment and Disability Roundtable of Madrid Business Forum with the aim of bringing the Madrid business community closer to the social and labor reality that people with disabilities experience on a daily basis.
For Sobrino, "this is an excellent opportunity for Envera to contribute its experience in the insertion of people with disabilities in ordinary companies, something that the Association has been doing for almost forty years, and which is a matter of social justice and equal opportunities for both individuals and companies".
The objectives of the Employment and Disability Board are to raise awareness among companies of the General Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and their Social Inclusion, as well as the commitments required by the legislation, to guide and facilitate the hiring of people with different abilities, to promote the training of people with disabilities to foster their employability, and to act as an interlocutor between companies and the Public Administration.
Pedro Sobrino thanked Hilario Alfaro, President of Madrid Foro Empresarial, for his confidence in coordinating this working group, recalling that social responsibility is a strategic value for the competitiveness of companies, an incentive for customer experience, as well as an ethical and legal obligation, a challenge that the Mesa Empleo y Discapacidad accepts with the commitment to advance in its conquest.
