Envera and the Ministry of Family, Youth and Social Policy of the Community of Madrid, directed by Concepción Dancausa, have agreed to carry out training practices to promote the employability of people with intellectual disabilities. Thanks to this agreement, Envera students will carry out internships in different areas of the Ministry, which will allow them to improve their curriculum and learn about the workings of the public administration in order to prepare for competitive examinations.
With this milestone, the Community of Madrid, through the Department of Social Policies, reaffirms its commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities, being an exemplary administration.
Envera also has agreements with the Ministries of Transport and Infrastructure and Housing for internships in different entities, such as Metro de Madrid and the Social Housing Agency, respectively.
As recalls the general director of Envera, Enrique Grande, "promoting access to work is the best social policy and with this agreement today is a very important step towards that goal. We are very grateful to President Díaz Ayuso and Councilor Dancausa for their support to people with intellectual disabilities".
People like Pablo, Nerea, Marta... And so on to the more than 30 young people, all of them of legal age, whom Envera trains every year in Madrid and who, thanks to the support of specialized teachers and a student-centered methodology, are able to obtain the Secondary Education Graduate (ESO) and continue training to get a job.
With these internships, job training brings them one step closer to their dream of being able to work.
