The beneficiaries of the Envera Occupational Center in Gran Canaria carried out last week a waste collection and recycling activity in the surroundings of the Center in the town of Carrizal.
Guided by our professionals, they walked through some of the streets near the Center, as well as the park where our garden is located, seeing the conditions in which they were and becoming aware of the need to maintain a clean and waste-free environment in which recycling and reuse of materials are of vital importance. Throughout the day they took out a total of 15 garbage bags, separated by plastics, paper and cardboard and glass. One more way to continue working on the Climate Action required by the Sustainable Development Goals to which Envera is fully committed, actively collaborating in the achievement of 11 of the 17 SDGs.
Radio Terrícola has joined this important activity and, as a continuation of it, our fantastic reporters have been working to develop special programs that have focused on the environment, recycling and the habits we should follow to take care of our planet. Throughout these three programs, made in a contest format, we have been able to share our concerns, while continuing to learn about how important it is to be responsible about our waste and how we can continue to improve our care for the environment in which we live.
