In the studio of Radio Terrícola we are used to meet really amazing characters, very different and dedicated to the most peculiar activities, from businessmen or politicians to teachers, artists of all kinds or botanical scholars. With all of them we enjoy and appreciate their talent, but when live music is part of the program the magic happens. Today has been no less, The PolBand have brought us that, pure magic and vibration.
The band is made up of Yolanda (Landalí) on keyboards and vocals; the Nieto brothers, Pablo and Eugenio, on bass and drums; and Rodrigo Nowhere, on guitar and vocals. We have missed Eugenio, who could not come, but the rest here who have shown up, even living in the antipodes of Colmenar Viejo, which we deeply appreciate.
They have told us about their musical beginnings and part of their professional career. And I say well, part of it because in the case of Yolanda and Pablo you have to spend a few hours to detail all their adventures around the world and with artists as popular as Ricky Martin, Bisbal or Rocio Jurado, minimum examples. Rodrigo, who already has the Radio Terrícola platinum card for the number of times he has visited us and for everything that unites us, is the youngest and with less hours on the road, but with a chilling musical level, that the creature has worked hard since he was six years old. They are pure blood of art, no more.
Many questions and a lot of curiosity, as expected, but as Adrián, teacher and program coordinator, together with Iván, the Kiyo, said, there is no occasion in which the program's collaborators do not share their unusual curriculum with our guests. Thus, Germán has told us about his flamenco art with dance; Rafa has reiterated his skills as a multidisciplinary multi-instrumentalist; Martita has again emphasized her ability as an actress, acrobat, singer and niece of Luis Aragonés, etc, etc. It is logical, we all have an artistic streak and what less than sharing it with other artists.
The high points came with the live music, almost bareback, acoustic and with an avid clientele, but also very critical. After three songs, one original by Yolanda and other versions of all life, the atmosphere has warmed up enough to not stop, with the desire we have stayed. More than an hour of program.
