Nearly two hundred Unisys employees, led by its vice president EMEA for Transport and Telecommunications and general manager in Spain, Ana Rubio, celebrated the technology company's ten years of commitment to the most vulnerable through its sponsorship of the Tutelar Envera Foundation with a day of corporate social volunteering.
During two days, company employees were able to learn in depth about Envera's work at the Centro Integral de Discapacidad de Colmenar Viejo, sharing sports, recycling and gardening activities with its beneficiaries and, of course, transferring this experience through the microphones of Radio TerrĂcola where the most heard expressions were "surprise", "admiration" or "happiness".
They were also able to see firsthand the work done by people with disabilities, mainly intellectual, in the Special Employment Center, both in the Digital Services and Handling departments and, especially, in the Solidarity Recycling Center, which never ceases to amaze everyone who visits it.
For Ana DĂaz, director of Human Resources at Unisys, the experience of sharing an exciting and different day that highlights the best of human beings has been an unforgettable experience for the whole team, in short "a journey", as she decided to call all Unisys employees, which has led us to know very different realities to those we are used to, to discover the capabilities of people with disabilities and to feel that what is experienced here is not something alien to all of us". For DĂaz, and as part of his "Diversity" plan, activities such as this one bring all the ideas and purposes down to earth.
For her part, Ana Rubio renewed her commitment to Envera and all the people who form part of it, and emphasized how sensitivity and support for those who have it hardest must be part of the core of organizations that not only work to fulfill their function excellently, but also to improve the lives of others. He also had some moving words for the president of Envera, who is still going strong at 83 years of age, and who is an example and inspiration for all.
Finally, Enrique Grande, CEO of Envera, thanked Ana Rubio and her incredible team for their commitment and solidarity, and the great work of building an exemplary company whose footprint surpasses the technological, aware that the person is at the center of all actions. To all of them, Grande asked that "if you ever or in any circumstance need us, know that she will always be here to help you".
A golden brooch for a day full of emotions and friendship to celebrate this tenth birthday, which we will always remember.
